Mumbai: BioPrime Agrisolutions, a pioneering agri-biotech startup and incubatee of Venture Center, has created history by becoming the first Indian company to win the prestigious Innovation Award at the BioAg World Congress 2025 – the world’s largest gathering for agricultural biologicals.

The award was conferred for BioPrime’s groundbreaking research paper, “BioNexus – A Comprehensive Plant-Associated Microbes Library for Next-Gen Sustainable Agricultural Innovations.” Selected from a competitive pool of global nominations, this recognition underscores BioPrime Agrisolutions’ commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture through cutting-edge science and innovation.

Founded in 2016, BioPrime Agrisolutions is the brainchild of Dr. Renuka Diwan, Dr. Amit Shinde, and Dr. Shekhar Bhosale – accomplished Pune University alumni with specialization in plant and microbe biotechnology. Dr. Diwan currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Bhosale as the Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Dr. Shinde as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), collectively steering the company’s mission to revolutionize sustainable agriculture through scientific innovation.

At the heart of BioPrime Agrisolutions’ achievement is its world-class R&D team, whose relentless focus on science-driven solutions has helped develop India’s largest plant-associated microbial library. With over 15,000 carefully curated strains, the BioNexus library is designed to unlock the immense potential of microbial communities to boost crop resilience, enhance soil health, and reduce dependence on synthetic agrochemicals.
